Today, I want to talk to you about Vastu. Not the general Vastu – that is a vast subject – but just about one single aspect of it. And that is the placement of MIRRORS as these have a huge role to play in the well-being of house inmates. Let me begin by giving you three examples:
The other day I got a call from a lady. She was perturbed at the family bickerings that had started after the marriage of her son. Barely two months into marriage, not only had the newly-wedded couple started having unhappy arguments with each other but with other family members as well. As is my procedure, I first asked them for the couple’s horoscope, which seemed fine to me. I didn’t find any major flaw in the personalities of the couple but I did notice some Vastu flaws (the horoscope of the house-owner can tell a lot about probable Vastu issue).
So I advised them to get the Vastu of their home checked. Some days later, they called me to examine their home. As I entered their home, I noticed the west side wall in the drawing room was full of MIRRORS. It also had three small dressing tables, to enliven the interior décor. Even the kitchen had mirror on its south wall – the biggest flaw. I advised them remove these.
They made the necessary changes and the family is living peacefully now.
The second case was of a family that complained of continuous health issues. This house was facing north-east, the most auspicious direction, and numerologically too a good address. They had been living in the house for the last two decades, but the health problems started cropping up since two years – one of the other person was always sick. Here too, while I found that it was the placement of MIRROR that was wrong – it was on the south wall. A MIRROR here is an open invitation to health problems. The master bedroom had a mirror in front of the beds– another totally wrong thing.
They made the corrections, and now have no problems.
The third case pertained to a women who was facing financial crises since the time her family moved to a new house. Here too, in each of the rooms, it was the placement of MIRROR that was wrong – in the direction that would lead to health or money issues.
MIRRORS play a vital role in Vastu. Be it home or office, these should never be placed in south, west or south-west directions. The best place for them is north, east or north-\
east direction.
The shape should be square, rectangle, oval or round.
It should be light-weight and big-sized, full MIRROR, not a collection of small pieces.
The colour of frame should be light blue, white pink or wood colour.
For better luck, place an auspicious item like Om or Swastika sign before a MIRROR – it attracts prosperity.
