Feng Shui is a pseudoscience, it is a part of Vastu Shastra which is accepted more globally. Originating from China, it is all about balancing five elements i.e., earth, metal, water, wood and fire; Feng Shui is completely based on these five elements.
Feng Shui was earlier used by Chinese emperors to maintain power over their dynasties and increase their wealth.
It was beyond the reach of common man to opt for Feng Shui. However, with the phase of development, the effects and impacts of Feng Shui became visible to the commons.
In simple language, Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra serve the same purpose of energy harmonization but they use a different mode of conduct. The classical Feng Shui incorporates the influence of planetary cycles and time-tested mathematical calculations and formulas. A Feng shui consultant has the ability to enhance good planetary positions and suppress the bad ones.
Therefore, both Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui serve the same purpose it is just they are given different names. Also, to comment on its benefit or use in India; it is as useful as Vastu Shastra and you can see the incorporation of Feng Shui in hospitals, schools, corporates and in many other places. Be it a laughing Buddha, Phoenix, turtle or wind chime; each has its own usefulness and way of balancing the planetary position.
